Information sent on behalf of Notts Police

Hello, I am PS Andy Hallsworth based at Radford Road police station and I am the Sergeant that covers New Lenton, QMC, Dunkirk, University Park and Lenton Abbey.  I thought I would give you an update on crime in our area for the last seven days.

Burglary - Our focus as usual is reducing Burglary and although we have suffered more burglaries than we did last year we have only had three in the last seven days.  This is still too many so all our effort is going into detaining offenders and putting a policing presence in the hot spot areas.  We have a dedicated burglary team of experienced detectives based at Radford Road who investigate all our burglaries.

Herman Street – Offenders broke lock on door.
Derwent Way – Insecure house and offenders enter and take property.
Wishford Avenue – entry gained through rear window.

Please make sure your dwellings are always secure and please consider an alarm.  I will attach crime prevention advice to this e mail.

Auto Crime – the only auto crime was a criminal damage to a motor vehicle on Hawton Crescent.
Robberies – Nil
Hate crime – one incident
ASB – We have a dedicated ASB patrol in a car during week days between 1700 hrs – 2300 hrs and during Friday and Saturday we have two cars between 1700 hrs – 0100 hrs.
